Interview

Question 1:
''What have you learned from your mistakes?''
Carlo D'Amico:
''I think one of the most important things I've learned is persistence. Not to give up too soon, because the solution is probably right in front of me. I used to think that there was one best solution to a problem, but I've learned that that kind of thinking limits the possibility of great success. Furthermore, I have learned to give every person a second chance, because first impressions can often be misleading.''

Question 2:
''What are your greatest strengths?''
Carlo D'Amico:
''My greatest strength is my ability to work with many different people: I enjoy learning from everyone I meet. My time management skills are excellent and I'm organized, efficient, and take pride in excelling at my work. I'm capable of keeping many projects on track at the same time.''

Question 3:
''Are you a self motivator?''
Carlo D'Amico:
''Absolutely. I'm always looking for new and innovative ideas to bring to a project. Successfully completing one project and moving on to the next is very exciting for me. I am passionate about my work, and truly enjoy working toward the next big goal.''

Question 4:
''Do you prefer to work independently or on a team?''
Carlo D'Amico:
''I am equally comfortable working as a member of a team and independently. Some assignments require a great deal of independent work and research, others need a team effort because it is most effective; I always show enthusiasm for working as a member of a team.''

Question 5:
''How do you handle stress and pressure?''
Carlo D'Amico:
''Prioritizing my responsibilities gives me a clear idea of what needs to be done, and when; I react to situations, rather than to stress. That way, the situation is handled and doesn't become stressful. From a personal perspective, I manage stress by visiting the gym three times a week. It's a great stress reducer.''

Question 6:
''How do you balance life and work?''
Carlo D'Amico:
''Being organized helps me to balance my professional life and personal life. Consequently, I can be fully engaged while I'm at work. For those unexpected times, I can trust to my best friends' help.''

Question 7:
''What are your goals for the next five / ten years?''
Carlo D'Amico:
''My long-term goals involve growing with a company where I can continue to learn, take on additional responsibilities, and contribute as much of value as I can.''

Question 8:
''How do you plan to achieve those goals?''
Carlo D'Amico:
''I plan on gaining additional skills by taking related classes and continuing my involvement with a variety of professional associations. Furthermore, I will continue my professional development by participating in conferences, attending seminars, and reading specialized books.''

Question 9:
''What are you passionate about?''
Carlo D'Amico:
''I'm passionate about making a difference. When I'm involved with a project at work I want to do my best to achieve success. I feel the same way about what I do in my personal life.''
